How much does a new concrete driveway or patio cost?
This is the most common question we get! The price depends on a few things: how big the area is, how much prep work (digging) we need to do, and if you want any special finishes or epoxy. Because every yard in the Harrisonburg area is different, we offer free estimates. We come out, measure it, and give you a quote, all free of charge.
Will my new concrete crack?
Here is the honest truth: There are two kinds of concrete—concrete that has cracked, and concrete that is going to crack. It’s the nature of the material. However, we do everything possible to control it. We use a strong stone base, steel reinforcement, and we cut "control joints" into the slab. These cuts tell the concrete, "If you're going to crack, do it right here in this straight line where nobody can see it." This keeps the surface looking great.
How long do I have to wait before I can drive on my new driveway?
We know you are excited to use it, but patience is key! You can usually walk on concrete after 24 to 48 hours. For driving your car on it, you should wait at least 7 days. Heavy trucks should wait even longer. Concrete takes about 28 days to fully "cure" and reach its maximum strength.

Is epoxy flooring slippery?
It can be if it's wet, just like a smooth tile floor. However, we can add a "non-slip" texture to the top coat. This adds a little bit of grip (kind of like very fine sand) that makes it safe to walk on, even when it rains or snows, without ruining the shiny look.
